Il Concorso Internazionale Premio Faenza è tra le più importanti competizioni al mondo nel settore dell’arte ceramica contemporanea. Istituito per la prima volta nel 1938 come manifestazione nazionale, fu esteso all’ambito internazionale nel 1963. Bandito annualmente, eccetto negli anni della seconda guerra mondiale, è diventato biennale dal 1989 e ha visto nel corso delle sue oltre sessanta edizioni la partecipazione di migliaia di artisti italiani e stranieri.

La domanda dovrà obbligatoriamente essere registrata tramite il sito premiofaenza.it fino al 17 dicembre 2024. 

Il Concorso è suddiviso in due sezioni distinte: una riservata agli artisti al di sotto dei 35 anni d’età (nati dopo il 31 dicembre 1989), l’altra riservata agli artisti di età superiore a 35 anni.

Premi: 

• Premio Faenza per artisti over 35 del valore di € 25.000,00. 
• Premio Faenza per artisti under 35 del valore di € 5.000,00.
  Al giovane artista verrà inoltre offerta una residenza a Faenza della durata di 2 mesi con la possibilità di realizzare opere da esporre al MIC in un evento particolare nell’autunno 2025.

Le opere vincitrici dei Premi Faenza over e under 35 entreranno a far parte delle collezioni contemporanee del Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche in Faenza.

La cerimonia di premiazione avverrà a Faenza venerdì 27 giugno 2025 e sarà preceduta da una conferenza/presentazione degli artisti premiati.
Tutte le opere ammesse al secondo grado saranno esposte in mostra dal 28 giugno al 30 novembre 2025.

The Premio Faenza International Competition is among the world’s most important competitions in the field of contemporary ceramic art. First established in 1938 as a national event, it was extended to the international arena in 1963. Announced annually, except during the years of World War II, it has become biennial since 1989 and has seen the participation of thousands of Italian and foreign artists during its more than sixty editions.

The application must mandatorily be registered through the site premiofaenza.it until December 17, 2024.

The Competition is divided into two separate sections: one reserved for artists under 35 years of age (as of December 31, 1989), the other for artists over 35 years of age.

Awards:

• Faenza Prize for artists over 35 worth € 25,000.00.
• Faenza Prize for artists under 35 worth € 5,000.00.
  The young artist will also be offered a 2-month residency in Faenza with the possibility of creating works to be exhibited at MIC in a special event in fall 2025.

The winning works of the Faenza Prizes over and under 35 will become part of the contemporary collections of the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza.

The award ceremony will take place in Faenza on Friday,June 27, 2025 , and will be preceded by a lecture/presentation by the award-winning artists.
All works admitted to the second grade will be displayed in an exhibition from June 28 to November 30, 2025.
