Il 5° incontro del progetto CLAY (supporto intersettoriale per le piccole e medie imprese ceramiche artistiche, innovative e competitive), finanziato dal programma Interreg dell'Unione Europea, che mira a sostenere le piccole e medie imprese del settore ceramico agendo sulle politiche regionali, si è tenuto mercoledì 23 settembre 2020.

A causa dell'emergenza Coronavirus l’incontro si è svolto online, organizzato dal partner Sud Ovest Oltenia (Romania). L'obiettivo dell'evento era la presentazione e la discussione delle idee / bozze dei piani d’azione (action plan) da parte dei partner di CLAY.

L’incontro si è aperto con il benvenuto di Marilena Bogheanu, Direttore Generale di RDA regione Sud Ovest Oltenia; di Nicolae Sardarescu, Sindaco di Horezu e Presidente dell'Associazione Rumena delle Città della Ceramica (ArCC); di Eugen Savulescu, rappresentante di GAL Depresiunea Horezu e Direttore di ArCC.

Durante l'incontro i partner del progetto (provenienti da Italia, Finlandia, Francia, Portogallo, Romania e Spagna) hanno illustrato lo stato di avanzamento dei lavori sui piani d'azione (action plan) che hanno lo scopo di definire azioni adeguate a rispondere alle esigenze dei territori e che, seguendo strategie politiche delle proprie regioni, sosterranno l'innovazione delle piccole e medie imprese ceramiche.

Le visite previste dall’incontro sono state presentate nella forma di video, per mostrare le peculiarità della ceramica di Horezu (Romania):

1. Presentazione della ceramica tradizionale di Horezu;

2. Reinterpretazione di motivi tradizionali nella ceramica di Horezu;

3. 3D Systems Pro: una piccola impresa che implementa la stampa 3D;

4. Un'azienda che svolge la sua attività in una casa unica a forma di vaso di ceramica.

Durante il prossimo evento CLAY, che si terrà in Umbria entro la fine dell'anno se la situazione sanitaria lo permetterà, i partner presenteranno e discuteranno la bozza in stato avanzato del Piano d'Azione per poi avviare la Fase 2 del progetto.

The 5th meeting of the CLAY project (Cross Sector support for Innovative and Competitive Artistic Ceramic SMEs), funded by the Interreg program of the European Union, which aims to support the small and medium-sized enterprises in the ceramic sector by acting on regional policies, was held on Wednesday 23 September 2020.

Due to the Coronavirus emergency, the meeting of the project took place online, hosted by the partner South West Oltenia (Romania). The objective of the event was the presentation and discussion on Action Plan idea/draft  from CLAY partners.

Followed the welcome from Ms. Marilena Bogheanu, General Director of RDA region South West Oltenia; Mr. Nicolae Sardarescu, Mayor of Horezu and President of the Romanian Association of Cities of Ceramics (ArCC); Mr. Eugen Savulescu, representative of GAL Depresiunea Horezu and Director of ArCC.

During the meeting the project partners (from Italy, Finland, France, Portugal, Romania and Spain) illustrated the progress of the work on the action plans that defined adequate actions to respond to the needs of the territories and which, following the orientation of the political strategies of the own regions, will support the innovation of ceramic SMEs.

4 videos were presented as study visits, showing the peculiarities of Horezu ceramics:

1. Presentation of the traditional Horezu pottery;

2. Reinterpretation of traditional motifs in Horezu ceramics;

3. 3D Systems Pro – a small business that implements 3D printing;

4. A business that carries out its activities in a unique house in the shape of a ceramic vessel.

During the next CLAY event, to be held in Umbria by the end of the year if the health situation allows it, the partners will present and discuss the advance draft of Action Plan in order to then start Phase 2 of the project.
