CHI SIAMO. MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC nasce nel 2014 su Facebook, in forma di gruppo aperto, con l'idea di creare un network internazionale tra ceramisti e pubblico.

IL MESSAGGIO. Il messaggio che vuole divulgare è molto semplice: più argilla e meno plastica.

INQUINAMENTO DA PLASTICA. L'inquinamento da plastica ha raggiunto livelli drammatici. Ridurre l'uso della plastica è un passo importante, urgente e necessario per la salvaguardia dell'ambiente e della qualità della vita di tutti gli esseri viventi.

L'INVOLUZIONE COME EVOLUZIONE. L'obiettivo è la sensibilizzazione alle buone pratiche di cura per l'ambiente, invitando le persone a ripensare i loro oggetti di uso quotidiano. Scolapasta, bicchieri, piatti, ciotole... un tempo prodotti con l'argilla e in seguito con la plastica, possono tornare ad essere d'argilla.

PERSONE. MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC oggi esce dal mondo del web per incontrare le persone, promuovendo la riduzione dell'utilizzo della plastica attraverso incontri culturali, workshop e mostre.

ARTIGIANI. MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC crede nei mestieri artigiani, che riportano il lavoro ad una dimensione più umana. Crede nei manufatti, che non sono solo "cose", perché portano con sé storie e antiche conoscenze.
Crede che sostituendo un utensile di plastica con uno di ceramica possiamo tutti essere parte di una grande rivoluzione.

MOSTRA. "MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC - Change in your hand 4"
Come nelle precedenti edizioni sarà una mostra itinerante che presenta oggetti funzionali fatti da ceramisti provenienti da ogni parte del mondo che aderiscono al progetto MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC.
"MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC - Change in your hand 4" verrà proposta a manifestazioni legate al consumo critico e sostenibile, manifestazioni di settore, musei e strutture culturali.
Il tour della mostra inizierà a settembre 2019 proseguendo fino alla fine di luglio 2020 in località ancora in fase di definizione.

WHO WE ARE. MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC was born in 2014 on Facebook, in the form of an open group, with the idea of ​​creating an international network between potters and the public.

PEOPLE. MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC today leaves the world of the web to meet people, promoting the reduction of the use of plastic through cultural meetings, workshops and exhibitions.

CRAFTS. MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC believes in crafts, which bring work to a more human dimension. He believes in artifacts, which are not just "things", because they bring with them stories and ancient knowledge.
He believes that by replacing a plastic tool with a ceramic one we can all be part of a great revolution.

EXHIBITION. "MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC - Change in your hand 4".
As in the previous editions, it will be a traveling exhibition that presents functional objects made by potters from all over the world who join the MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC project.
"MORE CLAY LESS PLASTIC - Change in your hand 4" will be offered at events related to critical and sustainable consumption, sector events, museums and cultural facilities.
The tour of the exhibition will begin in September 2019 and continue until the end of July 2020 in locations still being defined.
