Il progetto Cerasmus+, nato da un’idea di AEuCC - Gruppo Europeo di Cooperazione Territoriale ‘Città della Ceramica’ e coordinato da TUCEP - International network for knowledge and job, ha preso ufficialmente il via in dicembre 2017 con l’obiettivo di innovare il settore ceramico analizzandone le necessità, creando una rete europea di stakeholder e sviluppando nuovi modelli educativi.

Nonostante la ceramica sia una delle più antiche forme d’arte e d’artigianato, il settore fronteggia quotidianamente la competizione globale di prodotti più economici, la perdita di competenze, la difficoltà di entrare nel mercato e la mancanza di risorse economiche.

Cofinanziato dal programma europeo Erasmus+, il progetto ha lo scopo di affrontare queste sfide facendo riferimento a tre pilastri:
1- Patrimonio culturale,  2- Innovazione e  3- Rete.

Gli 8 partner del progetto (oltre ad AEuCC e TUCEP, scuole e centri di formazione professionale per la ceramica), basati in 6 diversi paesi europei, costituiranno una rete europea di stakeholder del settore ceramico (centri di formazione professionale, botteghe artigiane, istituzioni pubbliche e culturali, centri di ricerca) per analizzare le necessità del settore sui temi delle competenze, della valorizzazione dell’ambiente urbano, delle start-up del settore ed elaboreranno nuovi modelli educativi con un approccio work-based learning.

Il primo passo del progetto Cerasmus+ è quindi l’elaborazione di un questionario per gli stakeholder, così da poter individuare le necessità del settore ceramico e procedere successivamente, su tali basi, alla predisposizione di soluzioni nel campo della formazione.

The Cerasmus+ project, born from the initiative of AEuCC - European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation “Cities of Ceramics” and coordinated by TUCEP - International network for knowledge and job, officially started in December 2017 with the aim of innovating the ceramics sector by analyzing its needs, creating a European network of stakeholders and developing new educational models.

Although ceramics is one of the most ancient man-made forms of art and handicraft, the sector faces dangerous issues as the global competition of cheaper products, the loss of skills, the difficulties of getting into the market and the lack of financial resources and economic capacity.

Co-financed by the European Erasmus+ program, the project aims to face these challenges relying on three pillars: Cultural Heritage, Innovation and Network.

The 8 project partners (in addition to AEuCC and TUCEP, schools and vocational training centers for ceramics), based in 6 different European countries, will set up a European network of stakeholders in the ceramic sector (VET providers, craft businesses, public authorities, cultural institutions, research centres) to analyse the sector needs for competences, valorization of the urban environment and business start-up and elaborate new vocational trainings models with a work based learning approach.

The first step of the Cerasmus + project is therefore the elaboration of a questionnaire for the stakeholders, in order to start assessing the needs of the ceramics sector, therefore developing, according to this research, solutions in the field of training.
